Why LED  ?

HALOGEN and GLS lighting generate excessive heat (>250°c) that can potentially be dangerous if the lamps comes in contact with skin or flammable materials.

The heat produced by Halogens should be accounted for when considering using them in heat-sensitive areas, such as museums or art galleries. LED MR16 average reflector temperature is only 40°C which is safe to touch and will not burn. Lower heat released to a room means LES NEEDED to cool down a room extra saving.  Quartz filaments in halogen emit high UV radiation, and require additional glass cover in luminaries for the required safety protection. Our LXMI6 9W LED do not produce UV there for light is safe for skin and no colour fading.
